THE MAP TO MORIAH

A Writer's Journey...

Moriah is the author of Heart of the Sea, a YA Fantasy coming from Quill & Flame Publishers in 2023. She is also the author the short stories The Assassin’s Kiss (Phantom House Press, August 2022) and Thorns of Winter (Twenty-Hills Publishing, July 2022). A two-time graduate from the University of South Carolina, she holds a Bachelor’s in Liberal Arts and a Master’s in Library and Information Science. She indulges in her love of all things bookish by spreading that passion to others as an elementary school librarian. When not reading or writing, she can be found at the bookstore, adding another book to my endless TBR, sewing, or drafting something new.
I look at the world through a writer’s lens. I see stories in everyday life just waiting to be told and do my best to be the medium through which they reach the page. To find out more about my work, browse my newly updated Writing Portfolio and get in touch if you have any questions or would like to discuss working together.

THE UNOFFICIAL BIO

Hi, and welcome to my website! My name is Moriah, and I'm so glad you're here!

My love of reading started when my mom handed me a copy of Twilight, and it hasn't stopped since. I went on to get my Master's Degree in Library and Information Science (emphasis in School Librarianship) and work daily to inspire children to fall in love with reading. I have an unabashed love of Harry Potter, Twilight, and just about any fantasy. My passion for writing came soon after. I've always loved stories, and I'm thrilled I get to share them with the world.

My husband and I live in Eastern North Carolina, where he works on Fort Bragg as a Tactical Strength and Conditioning Coach for the United States Army. He's a huge Lord of the Rings fan and can quote almost any movie (I'd say he's a keeper!). We have two cats, Claire and Max, both of which were found stuck in the undercarriage of two different cars, three and a half years apart.

I'm most active on my Instagram page and discuss my love of reading and writing.
